Service Area WIZARD Now Works With Your Existing Contact Form

The old Service Area WIZARD made you swap your contact form for ours. Not any more. Paste one line of code and your existing form checks every postcode. Still free.

I'll be honest. The old Service Area WIZARD wasn't great.

It worked, but to use it you had to install our WordPress plugin and replace your contact form with ours. If you'd spent time getting your form just right, hooked up to your CRM, styled to match your site, with your own autoresponder, you had to throw all of that away. Most people (sensibly) didn't bother.

So I've rebuilt it from scratch.

It works with the form you already have

Service Area WIZARD now plugs into your existing contact form. You paste one line of code into your website, and every form with a postcode or zip code field starts checking it against your service area.

It works with Contact Form 7, WPForms, Gravity Forms, Elementor forms, Webflow, Squarespace, Wix, Shopify and plain HTML forms. Your form stays exactly as it is.

You choose what happens

When someone enters a postcode outside your service area, you decide what happens:

  • Block: tell them you don't cover their area and stop the enquiry being sent.
  • Warn: tell them, but let them send it anyway.
  • Tag only: they see nothing, but your enquiry email says "Outside service area" and how far away they are.
  • Redirect: send them to a page of your choice, like an "Areas we cover" page or a partner you refer work to.

And if a postcode isn't recognised, or something goes wrong on our end, the enquiry always goes through. I'd much rather you got an occasional out-of-area enquiry than lost a real one.

Also new

  • Multiple service areas. Several branches, or different radiuses for different services.
  • Partial UK postcodes. "SW1A" works as well as "SW1A 1AA".
  • A proper dashboard. See every check, the distance and the result.
  • A simpler API. Your service area lives in your dashboard, so you only send the customer's postcode. See the developer docs.

It still covers the UK, US and Australia.

Still free

Service Area WIZARD is still free, with unlimited checks, websites and service areas.

If you used the old version

Thank you for being an early user! You will need to set things up again, because the old plugin and API tokens no longer work:

  1. Sign up for a new account.
  2. Create your service area again.
  3. Add your website on the Sites page and follow the installation guide. On WordPress, delete the old plugin and install the new one.

If you used the API directly, there's a new endpoint and token format. Everything is in the API reference.

If you get stuck, email me at info@codingoblin.com and I'll help you get set up.
